Not too long ago, I was scrolling on TikTok when an interesting video popped up on my For You page. It was a video of a woman calling a church, asking them if they would be able to supply her with some formula for her baby who hadn’t eaten in days. Now, the catch about this video was that she didn’t actually have a baby, and she didn’t actually need formula. Being part of a church that says “yes” and doesn’t shy away from doing difficult things energizes me. Who doesn’t want to be around that kind of positive energy? In our senior year at Agnes Scott College, Nancy was president of the Christian Association. When I pray, I try to be as honest and humble as I can be. I try not to approach God as if I have special problems that are more important than anyone else’s.
