Music has always been at the heart of worship at UMCG. It’s through song that we lift our praises, connect with the Holy Spirit, and draw closer to one another as a church family. Whether it’s the stirring notes of our Christmas Cantata or the beautiful harmonies of a Sunday choir, music elevates our worship experience and helps us encounter God in profound ways.

Expanding and Enriching Our Music Ministry
As we look ahead to 2025, we are excited to announce plans to elevate our music ministry even further. We’ll be increasing the number of guest musicians and introducing a greater variety of musical styles, ensuring that everyone can experience worship in a way that speaks to them. From classical and contemporary Christian to gospel and more, we want our music to reflect the diversity of God’s people and create worship moments that resonate with everyone.
One of the highlights of our music ministry is our annual Christmas Cantata, which draws the largest attendance of any Sunday service each year. It’s a powerful testament to how music brings people together and provides a space for them to experience the beauty and majesty of Christ’s birth.
To support these initiatives and bring more variety to our music ministry, we need your help. An increased investment in our music program will allow us to continue offering high-quality, meaningful worship experiences that touch hearts and change lives.

Your Opportunity to Support Music Ministry
In 2025, we have a matching gift opportunity for any new or increased estimate of giving, up to $5,000. This means that if you increase your giving by $25 a month, it will be doubled to $50 a month, helping to expand the reach and impact of our music ministry.
We invite you to submit your estimate of giving by filling out a card in the pews or placing it in the offering plate. You can also drop it off in the secure box in the church office, but we encourage you to use our online form, which can be found here.
