At UMCG, we strive to connect Youth with one another and inter-generationally through fellowship, study, and worship opportunities for all ages. Youth will feel welcomed and respected for who they are.

 Youth Group Update

Save the Date – Feb 27 – Snow Day On Sunday, February 27, from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm we will be meeting up with youth from Baker Memorial UMC and Batavia UMC for an amazing outdoor “Snow Day.” We are banking on the weather cooperating and giving us plenty of snow that weekend, but we will have contingencies in place as well.

Sunday Morning at 9:00 am

Junior High Faith Followers (6th-8th Grade) – Meets in the Adult Learning Center.   Our middle school group is using a series called Echo The Story. This journey incorporates weekly drawing and guided doodling during the lesson. We also have fun with music.

High School Sunday School (9th-12th Grade) – Meets in the Youth Room

Youth Activities are held several Sunday afternoons every month.  These include a variety of activities:

∙ Pen & Paper – role-playing and other games
∙ Volleyball
∙ Open gym at a local rec center
∙ Escape room events
∙ Baking for meals for others
∙ Making toys and shredding newspaper for animal rescue center
∙ Nerf wars!
∙ Baseball games at Marklund
∙ Making sandwiches for homeless centers
∙ Making blankets for Good Night/Sleep Tight ministry
∙ Helping with events for younger children: Mardi Gras party, Egg Hunt, and more!


Confirmation 2021-22 began this fall, with a joint program offered for youth of our Tri-City United Methodist Churches. The program will run through the school year with classes led by the pastors of our Batavia, St. Charles and Geneva UMCs. Check out the TriCityMethodist website for more information.
