Coordinator of Audio & Media Arts
Job Summary
The Coordinator of Audio & Media Arts of UMCG creates, edits and produces an aesthetic and meaningful audio and visual worship experience for our in-person and digital congregation as well as develops and oversees volunteers to support the audio, video, and live-streaming ministry.
Part-Time: 10-15 hours per week.
Essential Functions:
- Aids in developing a live-streaming ministry: inclusive of equipment setup & maintenance, procedures and training of a team on its uses, and overseeing recruitment and scheduling for a successful live-streaming ministry.
- Recommends any needed audio/video/streaming/mixing equipment, software and platforms and provides for maintenance under the supervision of the Director of Operations.
- Produces and edits the weekly worship service in a cohesive and appealing production in coordination with worship pastors, staff and volunteers. This may be done live, pre-recorded and/or post production formats.
- Collects, creates and compiles audio, video, graphic components from the various sources needed to produce the video/stream for worship service each week.
- Renders & uploads various produced videos to websites and social platforms.
- Attends worship planning meetings as needed.
- Produces other videos as needed.
- Provide for the recording, live-streaming, or other A/V services for events such as weddings and funerals.
- Capture photos and video of church events for use in communications and productions.
- Handles other A/V needs as related to the ministry in the building as needed.
Prior church or non-profit experience is a plus, but not required.
