At UMCG, our commitment to missions has always been about more than just meeting immediate needs—it’s about transforming lives, both within our congregation and beyond. Whether it’s through local outreach programs or global initiatives, our mission efforts reflect the heart of our church: loving our neighbors as ourselves and sharing God’s grace wherever we go.
Our giving to apportionments makes up our first mile of giving that combines the dollars from United Methodists around the world to make an exponential impact. We then go a second mile in giving to help mission partners here, near and far away, proving not just dollars but our time, talent, and prayers as well. A Growing Need, A Greater Impact
As we celebrate 185 years of ministry, our mission efforts continue to grow. We are now looking toward the future, where we can expand our reach even further. However, this growth requires resources. The cost of running these missions—whether it’s supplies for local initiatives or funding for international partnerships—has increased. But with these rising costs comes a greater opportunity for impact.
By making an estimate of giving for 2025, you’re not just helping sustain what we’ve already built; you’re investing in the future of this ministry. Every dollar you give extends our reach, allowing us to serve more people, in more places, in more meaningful ways.

How You Can Participate
This year, we have an exciting matching gift opportunity! Any new or increased estimate of giving will be matched up to $5,000. That means if you increase your regular giving by $25 per month, it will be doubled to $50 more per month for our mission efforts.
We invite you to prayerfully consider how you can help us extend our reach even further. You can fill out an estimate of giving card found in the pews and place it in the offering plate. There’s also a secure box in the church office for your convenience. However, we encourage you to use our online giving form, which can be found here.
