Study, Prayer and Fellowship Groups

Adult Sunday School

Adult Sunday School meets each Sunday at 10:30am following the 9:00am Worship Service.

Starting April 7
The Bible’s Rock Stars and One Hit Wonders: Ten Stories You Won’t Want to Miss

With videos, songs and Bible commentaries, Jo Ann, Nola and Mary Gay invite you to Eastertide joy as we dive into the Bible’s pools of wisdom. With ample time for discussion, together what treasure(s) will we find? As disciple Philip says, “Come and see!”

When: 10:30am Sundays after worship from April 7 through June 9.

Where: The upstairs Parlor/classroom just off Fellowship Hall.

Come once or come often. If you can join us occasionally no problem since each session can stand alone. No previous Bible study necessary. In fact, the insights & responses of newbies can be the most interesting.

Invite someone to attend with you! Contact Jim McConnell for more information.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Centering Prayer

The prayer shawl team welcomes new knitters and crocheters to join us — we are willing to teach folks this skill as well! We make shawls and squares to bless people and offer support and encouragement for mission work, as well as to help folks get through difficult times. Join us on the third Thursdays of each month in the Parlor. Contact the office at office@genevaumc.org for more information, or to obtain a shawl for someone in need.

In this form of prayer, one sits still, quietly alone or in a circle with others for a set number of minutes. It’s a time to listen for a Word from God, so different from other prayer times at UMCG in which we pray out loud. Join us on Thursdays at 1:30pm. Come and bring friends! Contact Pastor Rob Hamilton for more information.
