Welcome
Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the United Methodist Church of Geneva – UMCG for short.
While our building is located in historic downtown Geneva. Our congregation is spread all throughout the Fox Valley and TriCity Area and we belong to a broader connection of the United Methodist Church near and far. We are glad that you are interested in learning more about this grace-filled group of people who value inclusion, welcoming, generosity, compassion, open mindedness and serving others -as a witness to our faith in Jesus Christ.
At UMCG, our mission is to illuminate our community with God’s grace as we lovingly accept, listen to, and serve all in the Spirit of Jesus. This is in keeping with the mission of all United Methodists ‘to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.’
While our largest gathering takes place through Sunday worship, the main event is when we illuminate our community with God’s grace. This happens when we serve or support any of our growing list of 27 mission partners, care for creation, deepen our faith through study and groups, gather for prayer, give generously of our resources and share what God is doing in our lives with our community.
So whether you are an introvert or extrovert, Cubs fan or Sox Fan, new to the idea of church or a long-timer, God is preparing a place for you in this community of grace-filled people who are following Jesus and welcoming you to share in the journey of life and faith together.
